Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or processing loss or abortion, doulas provide continuous support that enhances outcomes for families. Learn more about the benefits of doulas here.
A doula provides non-medical support to birthing people and families, focusing on emotional, physical, and informational care. I complement your healthcare team by helping you feel empowered, informed, and supported throughout your journey.
A doula does not provide medical care, make clinical decisions, or replace your healthcare team. I don’t perform clinical tasks, diagnose conditions, or give medical advice.
I offer full-spectrum doula support, tailored to your needs and circumstances.
Full-spectrum doulas support people through all reproductive experiences, from conception and birth to abortion, miscarriage, loss, and postpartum care - always with compassion and without judgment.
Yes! Respecting your choices and guiding you through each experience safely and compassionately is my goal.
Birth clients are encouraged to book as early in pregnancy as possible to ensure availability, while postpartum and other support can often be arranged closer to your expected needs.
It usually starts with a consultation to see if we’re a good fit. If we decide to work together, I’ll send an agreement and intake forms. From there, we’ll have prenatal visits to talk through your hopes, questions, and plans. I’m on-call 2 weeks before and after your due date for birth support. Postpartum care can begin immediately or after some time, and we would focus on recovery, adjustment, and support as your family settles in.
This depends on the type of support you book. Prenatal and postpartum visits are usually a few hours long, and labor support is continuous during active labor. I try to stay flexible, because birth and postpartum don’t follow exact timelines.
Yes, I'm happy to adapt to your chosen birth environment.
Yes, I can provide emotional and educational support for cesarean births, as well as physical support when hospital policies allow it. Hospital guidelines can sometimes vary, especially around timing, visitors, or procedure spaces, so we would talk through those details together in advance to plan support as best as possible.
If in-person support isn’t possible, might be possible dependent on availability. Please reach out so we can discuss options.
Yes, I can offer gentle, practical support with feeding. Whether that’s breast/chest feeding, bottle feeding, combination feeding, or transitioning between methods. I can help with positioning, normal newborn feeding behavior, and connecting you with additional lactation or medical supports if something is outside my scope or needs more specialized care.
I help partners feel confident and involved by teaching comfort techniques, explaining options and guiding them in providing support without taking over the process.
That’s completely okay. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are unpredictable, and support needs can shift. We can adjust your care plan together. Whether that means more support, less support, shortened or extended support, or changing the focus entirely.
I will always do my best to ensure a backup doula is in place for continuous support. Backup doulas are carefully vetted to align with my full-spectrum, inclusive approach.
Postpartum support includes infant care guidance, emotional support, feeding support (breast/chest/bottle), household help, sleep support recovery assistance and family adjustment support.
Yes! Overnight care can help with rest, establishing routines and night feeds.
Absolutely! Please reach out so we can discuss.
Yes, including single parents, surrogates, abortion clients, 2SLGBTQIA+ families, poly families, blended families and chosen families - whatever your dynamic looks like.
I aim to meet you where you’re at and adjust my support to fit your needs, not the other way around. That can look like pacing information, clear and simple communication, sensory-aware support, or focusing on what feels most helpful and realistic for you in the moment.
I also recognize that everyone’s body, brain, identity, and life circumstances are different, and I try not to make assumptions about what support should look like. I’ll listen to what works for you and follow your lead.
If something comes up that’s outside my experience or scope, I’ll be honest about that and do my best to help connect you with other supports when needed so you’re not left navigating it alone.
Reach out here! I offer a free consultation to discuss your needs, answer any questions and see if we’re a good fit.
Yes, I strive to make support accessible. Please reach out and we can discuss options during consultation.
Policies will be outlined in your contract. I encourage all clients to thoroughly review and ask me any questions prior to signing. I do my best to accommodate changes and unexpected circumstances while maintaining fairness for both parties.
